License searches. The register search runs in your browser against a copy of the state's public license file served from this site. The names and license numbers you type are not sent to us or to any third party. We do count that a search happened, without the term.
Interaction counts. When you tap a main call-to-action button, open the alerts form, or run a search, we record the event name, the page, where on the page the button was, the referring site's domain, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way hash of your connection that changes daily. That record contains nothing that identifies you, and it is kept in a database we control.
Traffic analytics. This site measures traffic with Vercel Web Analytics, run by Vercel, the company that hosts every page here — no separate advertising company is brought in to do it. It does not use cookies. A visitor is identified by a hash generated from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours, not stored to build a profile of your return visits. What it records is aggregated and anonymous: the page path, the referring site, a coarse location (country or region, not a precise one), and the type of browser and device — never tied back to you individually or to your IP address. Nothing here builds an advertising audience, and nothing is sold or shared for targeted advertising, because no advertising system is involved at all. Vercel's own handling of what it collects is covered by its privacy policy. We used Google Analytics 4 for one day in September 2026 and removed it after reconsidering what a health-adjacent site should send to an advertising company's servers, even with its ad features turned off.
Record-change alerts. If you ask to be notified when a facility's record changes, we store your email, the facility you asked about, anything you chose to add, the consent sentence you accepted, and the time, together with a one-way hash of your connection that changes daily. It is kept in a database we control and used only for the purpose stated in the consent sentence. Email us to have it deleted.
No advertising or remarketing trackers run on this site — no ad pixels, no retargeting tags, no data brokers, no cross-site tracking cookies. Traffic analytics, described above, runs on the same infrastructure that hosts the site and shares nothing with a third party for advertising, because there is no advertising here to share it with.
